The Business Excellence Awards

The Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce’s Business Excellence Awards celebrate outstanding achievements and contributions within the local business community. These awards recognize businesses, organizations, and individuals who demonstrate excellence in areas such as innovation, customer service, community involvement, and leadership. Through these awards, the Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce aims to honour those who have made a significant impact on the economic and social fabric of the region.

The Awards are presented at the Business Excellence Awards gala held in October.

The Top 40 Awards

The Top 40 is a recognition program by the Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce that identifies 20 outstanding leaders under 40 years of age, and 20 outstanding leaders who are 40 years of age and older, living and/or working in the South Okanagan-Similkameen. These individuals are inspiring, innovative, and create a significant and lasting positive impact in their community.

The Chamber wanted an opportunity to not only shine a spotlight on the remarkable stories of 40 outstanding people whose accomplishments contribute to the prosperity of Penticton, but also create a way to foster connection and mentoring between those under 40 who are growing in their fields, and those 40 and over who are well established.

The David Kampe Legacy Awards

David Kampe was a remarkable man who started Peters Bros. Construction in 1981. Through the success of his company in which he was known to make business decisions not on the amount of profit he would make but on how his employees would be affected, he chose to support countless causes and events out of a love for this City and its residents.

Each year at the Business Excellence Awards, the Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce presents the David Kampe Legacy Award to celebrate and honour the life of an individual who has passed away and was an exceptional role model, philanthropist, and leader.
